Readers in New York might like to know that there is a Drake’s and Armoury sample sale taking place at the end of this week. Discounts of at least 50%, with many of the Armoury’s brands on offer from previous seasons.

Having decided to pass by The Armoury as it opened this morning – at 10am according to the information in this invitation – it might be useful for others to know that it doesn’t actually open until 11am, as is their usual opening time during the week.

That's fair, and yes the Colhays lambswool one is nice. Chunky and warm, though obviously not luxurious in the way these cashmere ones are

I really like the material and the colour, but personally I find the details like the hammer loop to be too unusual or costumey for me. I have an old pair but find I rarely wear them for that reason
