I’m afraid not. The demand worldwide for over-the-calf is not large I’m afraid and the price reflects that, as well as the quality

You can pick up some good ones in the sales for less than that. The Hackett outlet store in Bicester Village does three for £15, cotton, but in funky colours generally and with a contrasting toe and heel, which I dislike. The best I own has been from Hilditch & Key on Jermyn street, £10 a pair but merino wool (though with 30% nylon) and the fit is superb. Wool really is much better than cotton. Wish I’d bought more.

Thanks, the question was about online though…

You mean the suit Peter? Well it's not in sizes, being bespoke obviously. But even then, no it's not cut bigger really. Was there one particular aspect of it that looked big to you?

Thanks, very interesting. And you'd be happy to pay for that, even if part of the point of the product was that you were getting the best possible quality, without the trappings of advertising or marketing campaigns?
